Bergfeld
Recreation Area

7600 Chavenelle Drive

This 30-acre park and 2 mile hike/bike trail is a great place to take your dogs. The path around the pond is .8 miles, with a few "fishing jetties" or nice places to let your dogs go for swim.

Medical Associates Greenbelt

Somewhat of a mystery, Medical Associates Greenbelt is described as "Lot 11 of Medical Associates Subdivision in the city of Dubuque, Iowa."

It seems there is some green space near the Medical Associates off of Asbury where dogs are permitted. However, More investigation into this location is needed....

Miller Riverview Park

1851 Admiral Sheehy Drive

Twenty acres, at 1851 Admiral Sheehy Drive, on the shore of the scenic Mississippi River, adjacent to the Mystique Casino.

This park offers camping, fishing, picnicing, playground equipment and biking, walking, rollerblading  along .95 mile recreational trail, and provides a great view of Mississippi River traffic.

Granger Creek Nature Trail

Also kind of mysterious, Granger Creek Nature Trail is described by the city as "Area surrounding Dubuque Technology Park at corner of Highways 151/61 and Lake Eleanor Road."

It is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Dubuque.

Approx. 2459 N. Grandview

The Dubuque dog park is located on North Grandview Ave., east of the Bunker Hill Golf Course and south of the water department pumping station.

It is 2.5 acres split into two sections, one for larger and one for smaller dogs.

Jaycee Trail

(North Flood Wall, "bike path")

The Jaycee Trail is a 1.5 mile flat stretch of paved walkway that runs between A.Y. McDonald and Pyatigorsk Parks (at 16th and Kerper).

Also known as the "North Flood Wall," it runs along the Lake Peosta Channel and, according to our Treasurer, Zach, is one of the best places to roller blade with your dog!

At the north end of the trail, you will find the YardArm; the perfect spot for a post-activity brew with your dog.

Enter the trail by parking at either A.Y McDonald Park, the YardArm Parking Lot, or under the bridge at 16th & Kerper (at Pyatigorsk Park). This location has a dog bag station, as well!
